RELIENT K

...has been on my mind a lot lately because they played a concert in PONTIAC which is literally half an hour from my house, and it was the same day and time as my Christmas band concert, the ONE THING I couldn't get out of! To make it worse, this girl who my brother knows (who I used my senior guest pass to get into homecoming, so she is indebted to me) went to the concert, met MATT THIESSEN, and got her picture with him AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHMYGODICAN'TEVENSTANDIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It took me a minute to calm down after typing that.

If I've never said this before, I'm obsessed.

Anyway, on to the dream.

I was at Ichthus but it was weird. We were staying in a camp building with a cafeteria. One of my good friends Emily was there with me.

After dinner on the day of the Relient K concert, I looked at the schedule and saw that they were playing at 6 o'clock for some reason (that would never happen in real life) and it was dinner time, so I was running very, very late. (Last year I got to their concert three hours early.)

I needed someone to go with me, so I picked Emily, and I had to wait around for her to finish dinner... get ready... get her camera... wrap some yarn up in a napkin (?)... it was very frustrating.

We ran to the concert, which was strangely close to the campsite, and lo and behold, there was only a crowd of about ten people in the audience. I ran right up to the stage and looked up at Matt and it was awesome.

All of a sudden, during one of the new songs that I don't know (I'm a fan of OLD Relient K, but I do have all of the albums so I have the new songs too, I just don't have the words memorized.) Matt jumped off the stage and started holding the mic up to audience members to sing. And they all new the words. And one of them was an Amish girl. He was kind of running down the line and when he got to me I just smiled and didn't say anything, so he jumped back up on stage and I was embarassed and so ashamed of myself that I hadn't taken the time to learn the (maybe FIVE) songs I don't know.

Then we had an eye contact moment again, and the dream was over.
