I have no idea what brought on this very, very vivid dream.
There was some hubbub before hand in a seperate dream including Madame Webster subbing for us in band class, a group of firefighters bringing in some instruments and uniforms that people had left lying around, and me going and buying a pack of gum for a hall monitor which took me a surprisingly long time and I could've just stolen it or something because the vending machine was wide open. She rewarded me with a book. (?)
The really intense dream started after all of that. In the dream, I came into the posession of this baby gorilla. It felt so real in my arms, I was hugging it close for most of the dream.
I was walking around this college campus/museum looking for the gorilla habitat that I had been told was there, so I could put the gorilla baby back in its home. We were taking quite a long time, several days, to find it, however, and the gorilla and I slowly grew attached to each other, and it was also growing and getting older.
We finally ended up in the right building but it was something like sixteen floors high, and we didn't know which floor the habitat was on, so we started exploring.
We came across this guy and girl, who were supposedly good, helpful people. (maybe students?) However, my gorilla was getting a lot older and larger, he was almost full size (it was in fact a 'he') and at one point he thought the guy was threatening me, and so attacked him. The guy was fine, he was just shaken up, but him, his girlfriend, and a few other guys decided that my gorilla was dangerous and needed to be euthanized.
The gorilla and I were on the run within the building that contained the habitat, trying to search around on every floor without being caught by the people who were going to euthanize him. I guess the situation was, if I got the gorilla to the habitat before they found us, they could not kill him, but if they found us before then, they could. So I was scrambling to get him there.
The chase was taking a toll on my gorilla, he was not happy any more and it made me very sad. Then there was this part where Kevin was suddenly with us and we were walking through an area where there was a high concentration of people, and so the gorilla was walking on his hind legs and pretending to be a man in a gorilla suit and Kevin was wearing a wizard outfit, so they looked like they were just going to a costume party or something. It was really, really odd.
In the dream, I turned out to be reading this story in a book, so I flipped to the end because I wanted to find out what happened. I think that the gorilla and I were in a face-off against the chasers, but at that moment my dad woke me up and I lost the rest of the dream.
