It's official. Boyfriend and I have broken up. He will be referred to henceforth as Ex-Boyfriend.
Fortunately, I've already re-bounded in my dreams. Last night I had a wonderful dream about a guy who used to go to my school several years ago. I don't know him personally but I know about him and find him devilishly handsome. ;)
He was a tuba player at my high school long ago, and his photo is up on the All-State/MYAF wall. His picture is the first one, mine is the last.
In my dream, I was in a class that may have been financial management, because it resembled Ms. B's room, but there were subtle differences. Scott (the tuba player in question) showed up in our class and sat down at my table - apparently he had to make up a high school credit. (Which is weird because he's been out of high school for several years.)
Anyway, we were chatting and flirting a little bit, and I was getting a lot of positive signals. In the dream, he just had a girlfriend. In real life, I'm pretty sure he's married. Either way, he mentioned something about growing apart from his girlfriend and things just got more friendly between us.
He had a reputation in our class for only showing up to school occasionally, but once we started hanging out he came to class every day. I was gearing up to make a move (having nothing else to lose) when that part of the dream ended.
Then there was a little part at the end where we were in jazz band, but my old old band director was teaching it and my friend Laura, who played tenor sax in the jazz band two years ago, was back to visit.
For some reason I was trying to play tenor sax even though I'm a bari sax player, and was failing miserably. We were playing "Get it On" which has a pretty important bari part and I don't know why I was playing tenor, but I gave up quickly and just sat around for the rest of the song because I couldn't remember where my bari sax was.
