Sleeping longer nights... having weirder dreams...

Thanksgiving break has been good to my sleeping schedule.
I've dreamed every night.

So last night I had this dream that I was shopping in a gas station/drug store looking store. Trashy looking. I was debating over some food, probably my sub-conscious struggling with my awful eating habits. I ended up buying this really, really cute dress that they were for some reason selling in a convenience store. It looked like it had a knitted bodice, the waist was above the belly button but not like empire-waisted. The material of the bodice kind of reminded me of twine, and it had short sleeves. The skirt was light blue. It was a really, really cute dress.

Then I made friends with the cashiers.

That was all.

Ethan

The dream starts out as I'm at some sort of concert or play outdoors with Derrik. It sort of had to do with Harry Potter and I looked up and saw Salazar Slytherin running away, but for some reason I needed to catch him so I ran after him and began chasing him around this forest that we were in.

Then there were more bad Potter characters that I needed to chase around too and these elaborate reasons why that was never in any of the books. All this time, Derrik and I are trying to plan when we're going to meet in the same park to hear a community orchestra perform Tchaikovsky's 4th.

At this point it seems like the dream has split into a seperate dream but it actually hasn't. We're all at someone's house and I'm eating Kraft macaroni & cheese when my dad instructs me to make this alcoholic drink for my Aunt Janet to help her sleep. I remind him that that is a myth, alcohol will not help you sleep because it changes your brain chemistry and will actually wake you up in a few hours. (I literally saw this on Dr. Oz two days ago.)

Then I went down to the basement.

And my Aunt Janet walked up with Ethan.

He looked only about six, with his short hair and I think wearing a red shirt. The thing was, I knew he wasn't real but I also knew we could all see him. I wrapped my arms around him and was terrified that I would just be holding air, but he was actually there. Then I started telling him about the crazy Harry Potter dream I had had the other night, (the one previously mentioned in this post) because I remember he loved Harry Potter. My Aunt Janet and Dad were just watching us.

After a while, he just disappeared and I started to cry, still talking to him. When I finished talking I was still crying and when I looked over at my Aunt Janet she said to me, "I don't understand either."

I miss him.

zombieszombieszombieszombieszombieszombieszombieszombies

Lord knows why I have so many zombie dreams.

Last night's was CRAZY!

The setting was that the zombie apocalypse had already begun and we were getting used to living in it.

The dream started as being indoors but I wasn't sure where. (Near the end I was in a large, semi-creepy house so it might have been there.) I was in a panic, trying to arm myself as I was going somewhere, and I had a razor and a pencil in my pocket. On a few occasions, a very lethargic zombie would jog past. I did this thing to kill them where I would stab the pencil or pen (at this point I had a lot of pencils and pens on me) through their heads, somehow through the forehead. (The eye would make more sense.) I could distinctly feel the pen squish through their heads. It was unpleasant.

Then some of my friends got me to go outside and walk somewhere with them, saying that we could handle the amount of undead that was around outside at this point. So I RELUCTANTLY went with them, knocking off a few zombies on the way to where we were going. My friends (and a few companions who were complete strangers) were significantly more calm about the situation. My friend Jess was there and was making me feel stupid about getting so worked up over the zombies.

We got to where we were going, which turned out to be some kind of store, it looked like a K-Mart-type store with aisles of products. A couple of times we would see zombies and kill them as we were shopping. Then I saw my friend Thom, who had turned into a zombie and was wearing the white suit he wore to homecoming which, by the way, looks hideous on him. So he was for some reason just running around the store like a crazy person instead of trying to eat us, but I had to try and get rid of him anyway. Luckily, I didn't have to. Some guy showed up with a machine gun and shot him down, but then the guy with the machine gun somehow died in the act of doing this. I was actually relieved that this happened, though, because I could take the gun for my own rather than my previous weaponry.

We returned to a creepy, large house. The way we killed zombies was suddenly different. Rather than them dying when we destroyed the brain, they would somehow become human again after we destroyed the brain. I don't really understand the logic there.

Anyway, at this house my friend Anna showed up, as a zombie, and a shoved a pen through her head, thus curing her rather than killing her. It was pretty gruesome. That was the last part of the dream I remember.

Weird thing was, a few times I went out-of-body and when I saw myself in the dream, half the time I was myself and half the time I was Pete from "Private Practice."

When I woke up, I couldn't figure out if the dream was real or not and so buried myself under my covers and decided to burrow into my cave and hide from the zombies forever.

Zombies...everywhere...

So there was this zombie infection, people would start sweating and their eyes would get purple rings around them and they moved slowly, trying to bite others but not eat them. I was first with that sleepy intern from Bones and possibly Dr. Shepherd from Grey's Anatomy, then the sleepy intern sacrificed himself for me. But the zombies didn't stay zombies for long, the effects of the bite wore off after about ten minutes. I got a baseball bat and started smashing heads in a very very real, disturbing way, but I couldn't seem to swing the bat very hard. Then my friend Shawn showed up and said he'd protect me but he turned into a zombie so I smashed his head.

At some point we were fighting zombies in an amusement park, kind of like in Zombieland, but different because it was day out and I was on one of those concrete platforms next to the giant swinging Viking ship.

On a side note, my friend Shawn has shown up in three of my dreams thus far. How odd.

On another side note, I love Woody Harrelson.

Also, this was from a few nights ago and I just forgot to write it down.

....

VERY BEHIND ON DREAMS!

I am keeping them stacked up in my agenda, waiting to be reported.

I'll do that later.

All I remember about last night's dream is that my childhood best friend, Scarlet, and her mom were in it. We may have been shopping or something because they were complimenting me on something. Then I briefly reminisced about Scarlet's sister, who died at sixteen, and I was worried I would offend them or make them upset, but Scarlet just smiled about it like she was glad I remembered.
