DOG

So I found this grey stray dog running around. It was wearing a collar. I vividly remember grabbing the collar and reading the name and address of its owner from the tag.

I intended to return the dog to its owner, so I got Chewy, my mom, myself, and the dog all loaded up in our van and we went to find this person's house.

However, we got lost and never found it.

Then,

My band director left and we got a new one, Mr. Lewis from Clarkston. That was right before I woke up.

That's all.

Mellophone Worry

First off,

This girl who plays mellophone in my band, Zoe Rudich, was trying to frame me for destruction of property or something for getting nail polish all over her yearbook (??) and I know why, because in real life I yelled at her at the game on Friday. But she didn't succeed because she was clearly trying to frame me.

Then I somehow knew how to play mellophone and I was so happy because it meant I could march mellophone in college and I could even do DCI if I wanted... I was really disappointed when this part of my dream wasn't true. If I had more time in my day I'd definitely learn mellophone.

Then there was a big chunk of dream, I was walking around some town that looked like a cross between Oxford and Midland with someone who alternated between my brother Joe and Joe Dorman. I had to call my mom to get directions at one point and I distinctly remember the whole scene:

I was standing at a street corner looking up at the street signs. A female police officer was standing behind me because apparently that was her post. I called our house phone first and it went straight to voicemail (which doesn't actually happen with house phones in real life.) so I called her cell but she was on the house phone with some guy from our church. But I told her the streets we were at (one of them was Westview) and she told me to turn right, but I saw this little music store to the left so I went that was to go check it out.

We walked through some stands that looked like they'd been at the renaissance festival on our way over. The music store was a huge disappointment, it was mostly just pictures of people for some reason. I determined while in the music store that I was in Midland because the kids in the marching band photos were Midland High students. There were mostly pictures of the sousaphones, who for some reason were wearing a bunch of PVC pipe in addition to the sousaphones.

At this point my mom showed up and was looking around the music store too and talking about relationships. First she told me that I needed a new boyfriend because a girl shouldn't just have one boy her whole life. Then she was talking about her relationships and for a few minutes I was under the impression that she was a lesbian.

Then when I was ready to go, I went to get my mom from where she was talking to the shop owner. I just said, "I'm ready to go" to her and walked away, then realized that the shop owner was my old band director Mr. Reinhard, but I kept walking away because I'm still pissed off that he left.

Finally, we were walking down a sidewalk and for some reason I couldn't stop walking in a diagonal line and pushing everyone off so they all got really mad at me.

This was a long one.
The end.

The Result of Sleeping for 13 Hours...

...especially after a week of sleep deprivation.

The dream started out introducing this guy character. His background was weird and sketchy, apparently he had been struck by lightning and was left deaf and mostly blind. He had black hair and looked kind of like this weird exchange student from my school.

Then it turns out I was dating him. We were walking around somewhere but he was embarassing me with his bumbling around.

At some point I met his mom and it turns out it was her fault he had been struck by lightning, because the lightning travelled through her and hit him.

Then the plot got really weird and it turned out that his parents had endangered him by making him get some famous euphonium (I know, weird.) from a really dangerous spot in a movie theatre.

After a while, the guy turned into my ACTUAL boyfriend, and I wondered how I had never noticed he was deaf and blind before.

Then I was at his house and he for some reason had two small houses instead of one big house. There were multi-colored squirrels everywhere because his dad is obsessed with squirrels. (Not really, but strangely enough my mom's boss really is obsessed with squirrels.) I think that's about where the dream ended. There was something about a euphonium-shaped cookie.

Somewhere in the middle of the dream my dog got arrested, which was strange. At first I was protesting his arrest but then I gave in and admitted that he deserved some jail time. I have no idea what my dog could've done. He's the most innocent dog ever.

Flute anxiety

So I felt really guilty yesterday

because I hadn't practiced flute in three days

(Background info: I intend to be a flutist when I'm all growed up.)

So I had this dream that I was practicing, for a long time. I was so proud of myself for all of the practice time I put in.

Then I woke up.

I was mad.

FUZZY GREEN OSTRICHES?!?!?!

Hopefully that title caught your attention.

I had a dream last night.

A very strange dream.

Kind of embarrassing as well.

Anyway,

I was standing outdoors, strolling around with some other people around me but not with me. I walked past this patch of grass with these two strange-looking birds on it.

As a side note, I think I might have an irrational fear of large birds. (Although now that I think about it, it's pretty rational.) Did you know that ostriches and emus can kill you?!?!? They can kill you!!

Back to my dream.

The birds looked like they had ostrich legs but their necks were thicker than ostrich necks and their heads were bigger. It looked like their fur was bright green turf growing out of them. Their heads reminded me of something from Alice in Wonderland because their beaks were actually those goofy horns that you always see clowns using, that have the rubber ball and the metal horn stuck to each other.

So I walked past these birds, and one of them looked up and right into my eyes.

I froze in place. I've heard you're never supposed to look an attacking animal in the eyes, but it was too late, I couldn't seem to look away.

The bird started trotting towards me and I was sooooo scared.

Suddenly, my friend S ran up from the side and I assumed he was going to tackle the bird, but instead he lifted his leg and peed on the bird's leg like a dog.

Which was really gross.

But the bird left me alone after that.

The end.

Boyfriend's House Dream

Spent the night at Boyfriend's last night.

First, I was with my friend Annette and she was returning my t-shirt to me that she had worn. It was grey and pretty cute, but when she returned it it had a big rip in it. I pointed it out and she was like, "Oh, that's so small."

(This is all very uncharacteristic of her.)

Then she offered me this hockey jersey to wear instead and I took it and put it on but it was so huge on me I looked like a was wearing choir robes.

Then I was in a bus with my Aunt Roseanne and Uncle Brad, and a bunch of my Korean cousins got on and then my 3 yr. old cousin Penelope ran up to me and hugged me and I was so happy and lifted her up and did this thing that my Aunt Janet does when she lifts up a kid where she goes, "Oh-ho-ho-ho" which would not be weird if you heard it in real life and if I were to do it out loud everyone would think to themselves, "That's that thing that Janet does."

Then the dream took a bad turn and it may have been the influence of Boyfriend's house because apparently he has lots of dreams like this.

We all got out into the parking lot and my extended family all started getting into their cars, none of them calling me over to get into theirs. I went for a white car, but when I neared it, I realized that all of the seats were full.

Then I saw Brad and Roseanne in their car, accelerating backwards for some odd reason. I ran after their car and they started accelerating faster and faster backwards and Roseanne was giving me odd looks as if she didn't know who I was. Then I realized that I had been looking at them through the windows of another car, Janet and Jeff's van. I was surprised so I stopped running and they both shot past me.

When I finally saw my own family I started running towards them in slow motion, just to be funny. I can't remember if they left without me or not.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt

...was actually Mr. H, the choir teacher at my school. He looked just like Joseph Gordon-Levitt. We had a weird conversation and he told me that he had had cancer a bunch of times.

Then I was driving around my church's church van and for some reason trying to hide it from my dad, who had the other church van.
